Commencement 25: For Graduate Students

The 2025 Graduate Student Commencement will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, at the Rosemont Theatre, 5400 N River Road, Rosemont, Illinois.

All students who have submitted a graduation application for spring or summer are invited to participate in May commencement.
Participants: You must wear regalia to participate in Commencement.

All guests, including babies and children, will need a ticket for entry. Graduates do not need a ticket. The number of tickets issued per graduate will be determined by the number of ceremony participants.
Commencement ticket pick up will begin on April 8 at the DUPAC box office.
Students needing extra tickets are encouraged to speak with other participants to locate unused tickets. Any remaining tickets will be distributed via a Ticket Lottery. A QR code to the lottery sign up will be included with your tickets.
Seating is general admission and doors open one hour before the ceremony start time. Guests in need of special services (wheelchair seating, sign language interpretation etc.) can be accommodated. An Accommodations Survey is available in the Commencement course on Canvas through which students should provide information to help us plan for special services.
Baby strollers are not allowed in the theater.
Each graduate student participating in Commencement will also receive one (1) parking pass for the Rosemont Theatre parking lot. Only parking pass holders will be able to park in this lot. This parking pass may be given to a guest. Please carefully consider who should use this guaranteed, free parking spot at the venue. Carpooling is recommended.
Ample paid parking is available in garages around the Rosemont area. A map of the area is located on the . Please note the parking fee information on Rosemont’s web page is for concerts and not valid for 91Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½â€™s private event. Allow extra time for walking to the Theatre.
