91Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ fashion students take seriously the University’s mission of creating a more just and humane world. Ethical concerns loom increasingly large within the industry.

91Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½â€™s liberal arts curriculum encourages fashion students to study, discuss and challenge some of fashion’s important ethical issues throughout their four years. Those issues include:

  • Fair labor policies and practices
  • Body image
  • Gender roles
  • The role of animal products like fur
  • Environmental concerns associated with textiles and dyes and other substances

Study and discussion today, with the potential of real change in the near future: that is the promise of a liberal arts education.
